I’ve been thinking a lot lately about what our industry celebrates. We celebrate the before and after photos. The goal weight. The stage physique. The race medal. The transformation. And don’t get me wrong, those moments matter. They represent hard work, commitment, and the courage to change. But what I’ve come to believe after more than 20 years of coaching is this: The transformation isn’t the finish line. It’s the introduction. Because what happens after the goal? What happens when the photoshoot is over, the dress fits, the vacation ends, or the number on the scale finally reflects the effort you’ve put in? If you’ve been thinking about making a change, recommitting to yourself, or approaching your health and performance differently this time, I’d love to have a conversation. I’m opening 5 coaching spots for July/August for women who are ready to build not just a transformation, but the skills and systems to maintain one. If that sounds like something you’re ready for, simply reply to this email with “SHIFT” and let’s chat. Because the goal was never just to transform. If your own health has slipped down the list, start with something manageable: two scheduled workouts, a breakfast you can prepare ahead, or a little time to think about what you need. This month,...
After attending several core-lates classes, a combination of Pilates and core training, I left with a concern: how much of this programming accounted for the women actually taking the class? In the classes I attended, I did not hear diastasis recti acknowledged or see modifications explained specifically for it. I know there are instructors who do this well. My experience still raised a question worth asking: when we market a class to women, how well are we prepared to coach the changes...
